Development and Maintenance of green lawns, land scaping, outdoor/indoor plantation etc.

Plantation along the perimeter and the campus to provide an effective cover in maintaining cleaner environmental conditions.

Waste Treatment

Environmentally conscious technology is employed for the treatment of effluents and emissions.

Waste Treatment system conforms to State Pollution Control Board norms. Following consents are granted to SCL

Consent to operate under Water Act, 1974.
Consent to operate under Air Act, 1981.
Authorization for collection and storage of Hazardous Wastes.

Waste water streams are collected and treated in the effluent treatment plant using neutralization with lime, clarification and pH adjustment.

Treated effluent, meeting the strict control limits, is discharged into public sewerage. Sludge from the ETP is dried and collected in HDPE bags and kept in the Hazardous Waste Pit. Part of the treated effluent is used for lawn irrigation as a measure of water conservation.

Organic waste is collected and kept in containers in Hazardous Waste Pit. Waste stored in the Hazardous waste pit is disposed / dumped, through the agency authorized by the state Pollution Control Board, at the locations identified by the State.

The exhaust fumes are adequately scrubbed before discharging the emissions through air stack.  Similarly, local gas abatement systems (CDO units) for toxic gases treat the fumes prior to discharge into the central exhaust duct for treatment in the scrubber
